The right school supports often make more difference in daily life than any single treatment change. Here is how to get them in place.
504 plan versus IEP

Accommodations that tend to help most
- Preferential seating away from doors and windows.
- Extended time on tests and chunked assignments.
- Written and verbal instructions given together.
- Movement breaks and a discreet signal for regrouping.
- A homework check-in system between school and home.
How to request support
Put your request in writing to the school and ask for a meeting. Dating your written request starts the district's response timeline. Bring documentation from our office to the meeting.
