Using the Patient Portal: Records, Refills, and Messages
How to sign up for the healow portal, what to use it for, and how to request records, refills, and school forms efficiently.
The patient portal handles most routine requests faster than a phone call, and it keeps everything documented in your child's chart.
What the portal is good for
- Requesting prescription refills.
- Viewing visit summaries, growth charts, and immunization records.
- Sending non-urgent questions to our clinical team.
- Downloading forms for school, sports, and daycare.
- Reviewing lab results once released.
What still needs a phone call
- Anything urgent or worsening.
- Same-day appointment needs.
- Detailed questions that need a clinical conversation.
- Anything happening after hours that cannot wait.
Getting the fastest response
- Include your child's full name and date of birth.
- Describe symptoms with dates and what you have already tried.
- Send one message per topic instead of a long combined note.
- Allow one to two business days for non-urgent replies.
Privacy and teen access
Portal access changes as children get older, because adolescents have certain confidentiality protections under Florida law. Our front office can explain what access looks like for your teen's age.
When to call Divaker Pediatrics
Our Mount Dora office is here for questions big and small. Call 352-383-8386 to schedule a visit, or use the healow patient portal to send a message to our team. If your child has a medical emergency, call 911.
